A bunny's first stretch
In the morning when Leaf wakes up his back tends to hurt so he gets down onto the floor (no yoga matt needed) and puts his toes together, knees apart and sits back over the heels while stretching forward. He "sits" into the pose while keeping the legs engaged. His head does not need to be touching the floor but he is reaching forward while stretching back. Its a relaxing pose but still very active. It releases a lot of tension and helps his lower back.

You don't need any props but they do help you relax in the pose. Continue to stretch the arms forward keeping the elbows off the floor. The points of contact are an important aspect of this pose so be away of the tops of your feet and shins pushing down into the floor and the index finger mound pushing down to help lift and extend the chest forward. It takes time to relax the groin muscles. The goal is to stretch the muscles of the back, hamstrings and relax the groins. The goal is not to get your head on the floor, but if you can, great. If not, use a folded blanket. Also if the groins are tight, put a folded blanket on the heels. This is a very therapeutic pose and helps relax the mind as well as lower stress.
